“At San Diego Academy, we teach the whole child creating 21st Century learners and nurturing 21st Century Believers..”
Shawn Thomas, Principal
A seasoned educator and administrator, it is with gratitude that I serve as principal at San Diego Academy. With our highly qualified, dedicated and committed faculty, we provide students with a Christ centered education that develops their minds in such a manner that they think critically and deeply about each subject; problem-solve effectively and excel academically. We greet each day with intentional prayer that we may meet the spiritual, academic and social emotional needs of each student we have been entrusted with. Our graduates are college and career ready with 90% of our graduates attending post-secondary institutions. Of our students who choose to participate in AP classes, 73% pass the AP test with a score of 3 or higher – well above the national average!!! High school students with a gpa of 3.0 or higher have the opportunity to become a part of the National Honor Society.
In keeping with the Adventist health message and our focus on developing the whole child, all students participate in outdoor activities, music exploration and extended learning opportunities. We offer junior high and high school sports. Our high school students may develop leadership skills as members of the Student Association or as class officers.
Each element of our school program works together to produce students who are not only 21st Century Learners, but 21st Century Believers.
We welcome you to come tour our campus so that you may see our school first hand!
