Frequently Asked Questions

Our school wholeheartedly welcomes families and students of all faiths and backgrounds. As a Christian school, all of our students attend chapel services and bible classes which are taught from a biblical Seventh-day Adventist perspective.

With our WASC and University of California A-G approval, our curriculum is certified for all U.S. universities.  Entrance into those universities will largely depend on the student's GPA and standardized test scores.  Our students regularly score above the national average and we have had students attend various universities around the country including UC Berkeley, SDSU, La Sierra University, and Walla Walla University.

San Diego Academy operates with a closed campus, which means the entire campus is gated and locked during school hours. All visitors must come through the front office and receive a visitor's pass to enter our campus. Another security feature comes from our small school size. We recognize parents and others associated with the school on sight, and we immediately approach visitors to ask how we can help them.

San Diego Academy has an intimate family environment with relatively small class sizes. Our classes range in size from about 10 students in Kindergarten to approximately 25 students in the largest class. Most of our elementary classes have fewer than 20 students.
