Children are God’s unique gift to the human family. They are created in His image, unique, and endowed with the power to think, learn, and choose. Seventh-day Adventists believe that true education is the harmonious development of the whole being. Therefore, the areas of spiritual, cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development become an integral part of the learning environment in the daily nurturing of young children.
Every child is unique and special. Each child’s development proceeds unevenly and at his/her own rate. Because of this, each child must be encouraged to grow at his/her own pace so that s/he may blossom into the health of mind, body, and spirit that is God’s ideal.
The San Diego Academy Kindergarten offers a transitional experience from home or early childhood programs into the elementary school. It is our goal to have a safe and creative environment where a child experiences success while developing a positive self-concept and a joy in learning.
